I pondered on this great quote cited by King Solomon in the book of Ecclesiastics and wondered to myself as we scurry about our daily routines racing against time to complete certain unfinished tasks, have we really stopped and thought about the word of God and how it applies to the activities that lay before us? The word of God says that man may have a thousand plans in his heart, but it is God that directs our feet along the path. There is nothing I can do to force or change what God has mapped out for me…it is predestined, ordained and written even before I was born. God knows exactly what I’m in need of, so why worry? He knows what my heart desires and what these things mean to me…for he has laid them before me, why lose sleep and overly concern myself with what will come to pass in its proper time. My primary concern should be that of trying to learn what his perfect will is for me in the process of being patient and not getting in the Fathers way while things are being prepared, so when that time comes, I’m mature enough to deal with what has already been prepared for me since the beginning of time. How perfect our heavenly Father is. So with that in mind I hold before me a surrendered spirit trusting that my Lord will bring me safely and securely to that place where he wants me in His time. And so, now I know there’s nothing I can do to force or change that time, because there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Keep this thought in mind as you go about your daily task against time. That everything you’re striving for, working for, reaching to succeed in and pondering on within your heart…God already knows and it SHALL come to pass, but in its proper time according to God’s will…it’s already written. May God through our Lord Jesus Christ keep you and bless you.
