Sometime we’re forced to make tough decisions at certain points in our lives that seems to be the worst in the eyes of others at the moment, hoping that our decision was for the best as a result. Whether for our families, friends or those that interact with us on a daily bases such as a co-worker or even a neighbor, especially when that decision doesn’t pan out very well in their favor. We take a chance knowing that we sacrifice dealing with the attitudes, the not speaking for days, the hurtful looks or tears, and at times, yes…rebellion. However, we accept it knowing what we decided was out of love or care and they can’t or refuse to see it from your perspective. Therefore, we are labeled as “The bad one.” But wouldn’t it be a miracle and something great to hear for once a reply that says; “Whatever you think is best, I will accept it.” Even coming from our own mouth? I remember somewhere reading words similar to those by someone. Oh yeah…Mark 14:35-36; “Going a little further, he feel to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him. “Abba, Father.” he said. “Everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.
Sacrifice…. “Therefore I urge you brothers in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:1 and 2. Think about it.
